The German creative team of Rudi Reschke, Theo Reichardt and Jo Quirin certainly did not sit idle over the past two years. Instead, they used the time to revise and further refine the production, with the aim of offering audiences in 2022 a high-quality stage experience polished in both its visual and musical presentation. All choreography was newly created from scratch by Silvia Varelli.
About the Show
A FAST-PACED MUSICAL ABOUT LOVE, DEATH AND PASSION
Audiences witness the birth of a new generation of heroes who create a new crime-solving legend and, in doing so, define the dawn of a new century. The young protagonists take on their first case, aided by perhaps the most famous detective duo in history: Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. The clash between these two generations creates plenty of friction. Their pursuit leads them through political intrigue, magic and conspiracy. The distinctive atmosphere of Victorian life and the major developments of the Industrial Age are interwoven with a romantic love story unfolding against the colonial exoticism of the British Empire and the emergence of a new era.

A) Backing TracksFully produced instrumental tracks are available for the entire show, including scene-change music and underscores. This means SHERLOCK HOLMES can also be performed without a live band or orchestra.

B) Click Tracks Alternatively, an arrangement with click tracks is available for a six-piece live band:

Our heroic duo moves across multiple levels, battling their way through the elements of fire, water, air and earth. Sophisticated stage technology is used with precision and purpose to enhance the performers and heighten the impact of each scene.
Creative Team
Rudi Reschke
Book
Rudi Reschke is the creative force behind this new production, serving as its originator, writer and director. As producer, he oversees and brings together all of the production’s creative and technical departments. Over more than 30 years in the industry, he has worked on numerous productions as an actor, singer, dancer, choreographer and director, with a particular focus on musical theatre and drama. He founded MOVIN ACT Productions in 2002. Through the company, he works as a casting director, coach, choreographer and director on a wide range of projects for the stage, film and television, which he develops and supervises.
Christian Heckelsmüller

Christian Heckelsmüller has been involved in SHERLOCK HOLMES – THE MUSICAL from the very beginning as composer, librettist and musical director. Alongside more than 25 years of experience as a musical theatre performer, Christian began establishing himself in Hamburg as a composer and conductor. He currently works in Düsseldorf as a vocal coach and musical director. Numerous commissioned musical works for a wide range of productions have established him as a highly regarded artist.
Jo Quirin
Book
Joachim Quirin studied at the Stage School in Hamburg and has since appeared in more than 70 productions across Europe. In 2011, his first novel, the noir crime thriller PATRIC IO. DIE FARBEN DER SCHATTEN, was published by Mosenstein & Vannerdat. In October 2013, his comedy MS MEINE FREIHEIT…STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN ON SEA celebrated its successful world premiere. He is co-author of SHERLOCK HOLMES – THE MUSICAL.
